About Dylan’s Hope & Healing Trauma Recovery, LLC

My path into the mental health field began long before I ever sat in a therapy room.  It began as a mother trying to help her child.

When my son, Dylan, was diagnosed with Bipolar I Disorder at the age of 14, I found myself navigating a world I knew very little about. There were moments of uncertainty, fear, and a deep desire to understand how to truly help him. Along the way, I began to see just how often trauma and mental health challenges intersect, and how difficult it can be for families to find effective, compassionate support.

That experience changed the course of my life.

I chose to pursue a career in therapy because I believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can be fully themselves without fear of judgment. While continuing to care for my son, I returned to school and earned my Master of Social Work, becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I then went on to complete advanced training as a Registered Play Therapist and became EMDRIA Certified in EMDR therapy, allowing me to provide specialized, evidence-based treatment for trauma across the lifespan.

In 2022, I experienced the unimaginable loss of my son, Dylan, at the age of 29. His life, and the love he had for others, continues to shape everything I do. Dylan cared deeply about people—he wanted others to feel happy, accepted, and connected. It is my hope that his spirit lives on through this work, creating a place where healing, compassion, and genuine human connection are at the center of every interaction.

I also do this work for Dylan’s siblings, Michael and Makenna, who have each navigated their own experiences with trauma and grief. Their strength, resilience, and continued growth inspire me every day and deepen my commitment to supporting other families walking similar paths.

Through both my personal and professional experiences, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by individuals and families impacted by trauma. I am especially passionate about supporting children, teens, foster and adoptive families, and individuals who have experienced domestic violence.

At Dylan’s Hope & Healing Trauma Recovery, my goal is to provide a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported, no matter where you are in your journey. Healing is possible, and you do not have to walk that path alone.
